About Nancy Winternight 

Nancy Winternight has been illustrating her life since childhood. An artist and practitioner of Siddha Yoga meditation since 1976, Nancy has recently started incorporating healing energies into her work.

She shares her time between her two studios in the Catskill Mountains of New York and on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia on the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

When Healing Baskets was in its infancy, I came across Nancy's work on a healing art web site and immediately shared the sentiments of Director of the Museum of American Folk Art, Gerard Wertkin, who said Nancy's work possesses "a mystic sense of the transcendent spirit (and power!) of women. There is also an uplifting quality to the work, which is quite engaging." I find it very difficult to describe art - but simply, her work touches me and makes me feel good...

I printed out some of her images and kept going back and looking at them - and finally I approached her via email. I was at the stage when I needed a 'look' for my dream. It was not an accident that Nancy had already painted what I had in my head - and she kindly agreed to loan me her beautiful Healing Angels which you can enjoy throughout the site. I think the fact that Nancy was out there waiting for me -spurred me on to where I am today.

We've never met, we've never spoken on the phone, but spiritually Nancy is very much a part of any healing this site may bring.

I hoped that others might feel the same comfort that I feel looking at her work and I am just delighted to be able to offer these framed pieces to you.
