You can operate this device up to 100 feet away and even through walls. All you have to do is set the annoying sound ( 7 to choose from - cat meow, cell phone, mosquito, beeper, water drips, phone off the hook or a cricket) then when you press the button it will continue with the sound until you press the button again.
